Hi there,

My name is Michelle Scholtz, and I have been invited to present my research at the ESPI International Real Estate Conference in Paris, France, which will run from 26 to 28 November 2024. With your help, I hope to make this a reality.

About My Research:

I recently completed my MSc in Property Studies at the University of Cape Town with a GPA of 78.33%. My supervisor and I have converted my thesis into a journal article and conference proceedings paper, which we will present at the prestigious ESPI International Real Estate Conference in Paris, France. 

My thesis explores the incentives and drivers for property owners to pursue private embedded generation through solar photovoltaic systems in South Africa, focusing on the City of Cape Town as a single case study. The journal article will be published in the Journal of Frontiers as part of a special edition on Environmental Economics.
