Help Me See Clearly Again

My vision has been getting progressively worse for the past eight years. Three years ago, I couldn't renew my driver's license because I failed the eye test.

Without medical aid, I faced waiting lists of 2-3 years for government clinics.

In April, I finally got an appointment with a private eye surgeon. After paying R1400, I scheduled surgery at Frere Eye Clinic for May 20, 2025.

My eyes are so sore; I avoid bright lights, and sitting under fluorescent lighting is unbearable.

I've landed a wonderful job as a member of a 'Super Admin Management' team, but I’m scared that my deteriorating vision will affect my accuracy. A private surgery within a shorter period costs R26K per eye, totalling R52,000, plus the cost of glasses for the vision that the operation won't fully restore.
