I am a Zimbabwean currently living in South Africa, and I have recently received a conditional offer to study BSc (Hons)Events Management at the University of Plymouth in the United Kingdom, starting in September 2026.

This opportunity represents far more than a degree to me. It is a chance to gain internationally recognised education, develop professional skills in events, tourism, and hospitality, and eventually give back to my community through job creation and youth development.

I completed my National Senior Certificate with English as the language of instruction and have always been committed to pursuing higher education despite financial challenges. While I have the academic motivation and determination required, my family and I are unfortunately unable to afford the high costs associated with international study.
