Hello, my name is Shemaita.

I am currently living in South Africa, and I have received an offer to study BSc (Hons) International Tourism Management at the University of Plymouth in the United Kingdom, starting in September 2027.

This opportunity means so much more to me than earning a degree. It represents the chance to receive an internationally recognised education, develop professional skills in tourism, hospitality, and destination management, and one day use those skills to create opportunities for others through job creation, community development, and empowering young people.

Despite financial challenges, I have remained committed to pursuing higher education. I completed my National Senior Certificate with English as the language of instruction and have continued working towards my dream of studying abroad. I have the determination, passion, and willingness to succeed, but unfortunately, the financial cost of international education is beyond what my family and I can afford.
