I am a 16 (turning 17 on January 12) year-old South African fencer. My fencing journey started when I was 13 years old and my love of the sport has grown massively over the last four years. 

My fencing journey has lead me to fence in both provincial and national competitions across the country and to slowly climb higher in my national rankings in both u17 and u20 women's epeé. I also attended and successfully passed the national fencing referee exam in May 2025 and have since refereed at two national fencing competitions. In January 2025 I was selected for the South African team to attend the Junior African Champs in Angola, but I was not able to attend. So I am very excited to be selected again to represent South Africa in the u20 women's epee event at the upcoming Junior African Championships in Dakar, Senegal on 16-21 February 2026. This is such an exciting next step for me as it means that I can learn and grow in my fencing and have the privilege of representing South Africa at an international event.
