My name is Lize Marais, the proud owner and principal of Milkwood Learning Academy. Milkwood Learning is a school for children with special needs and learning disabilities located in Gordon’s Bay. At Milkwood, we believe in the potential of every child (and want them to shine bright like the stars they are!) and embrace diversity. 

Our academy is committed to providing tailored education and support for children aged 6 to 17, where every child can thrive. Now, we are on a mission for something even greater - a permanent residence where our children can play and flourish! 

I founded Milkwood Academy seven years ago because I saw the need for affordable, high-quality education for children with intellectual disabilities. Many families with children with special needs cannot afford the education they deserve, and the waiting lists are long.
