Help Megs & Ash get to EU Nations

Our names are Meghan Maartens and Ashleigh Vaughan, and we are incredibly honoured to have been selected for the first-ever South African Women's National Water Polo Team under SAWP.

Our friendship began over 15 years ago when we were just 12 years old, brought together by our shared love for water polo. Since then, we have grown up side by side as teammates, best friends, and each other's biggest supporters. To now have the opportunity to represent South Africa together on this historic team is something we could only have dreamed of.

Water polo has shaped so much of who we are. It has given us incredible opportunities, unforgettable friendships, and the privilege of representing something far greater than ourselves. We were both fortunate enough to represent South Africa at the Tokyo Olympic Games, and together we have dedicated the past 10 years to giving back to the sport through coaching and investing in the next generation of athletes.
