Just 3 months after surviving a 6-hour airway reconstruction surgery, my wife’s airway is narrowing again and we have a small, urgent window to prevent another major life-threatening operation.
I never imagined we would be here again so soon. The last procedure was incredibly complex — surgeons had to remove 3 cm of her severely narrowed airway and reconstruct it so that she could breathe again.
What followed was a battle we never saw coming.
There were complications, infection, time in ICU, and a long, grueling recovery process that tested her in every possible way. But by the grace of God, the incredible medical team, and the overwhelming love and support from so many people, she made it through.
She could breathe again.
And yet, heartbreakingly, we are now facing another urgent medical crisis. A new growth has started forming at the exact site where the reconstruction was done. Due to chronic inflammation and scar tissue formation, her airway has already narrowed by 40% again — and it is happening frighteningly fast. This is now time-critical...
