Help my dad walk again - pain free

My name is Nanette Barnard, and I'm reaching out with a heartfelt request for help for my dad, Cobus van Jaarsveld.

In 1983, while on his way to propose to my mom, my dad was involved in a devastating car accident. Shortly after his vehicle had been serviced, the rear wheel side shaft and bearing came loose, causing him to lose control of the vehicle.

The accident left him with catastrophic injuries. He suffered a shattered hip, a severe spinal injury, and extensive head trauma. He was in a coma for three weeks, and the doctors prepared our family for the worst. They believed he would never walk or even speak again.

When he woke up, he amazed everyone by speaking, even though he couldn't walk. Despite everything he was facing, he made my mom one promise: he would still ask her to marry him that December, and he would walk again.
