Help needed after highjacking

Good day everyone,

We are reaching out during a very difficult time and humbly ask for any help or donations the community can offer.

On Saturday, 22 August 2026, I (Dirk), my wife, and our two workers were robbed at gunpoint and our only vehicle was hijacked — along with all our tools and stock. Our cellphones, both our licence cards and our ID documents were taken. The stock alone for the client was worth R11,000.

We woke up that morning ready to go and do an honest day's work, and within minutes it turned into a nightmare.

We arrived in front of the clients premises and the robbery happened, it felt so unreal — it was so quick. When someone is threatening to shoot you, you just do as they say. Within minutes, we were left with nothing.

That car and those tools were how we earned our living and provided an honest service to the community.

We were blessed by a very generous man who has already donated some of the most essential tools — including a welder, grinder and other small tools. We are incredibly thankful and grateful for his kindness. B...
