Help our Anglers get to Hungary

The Lakes Specimen Angling Team was established with a vision of creating a brotherhood amongst passionate anglers wanting to compete at the highest level of the sport, many of whom are from the private security sector and community members taking hands to create a safer Pretoria East. For our members, angling has been more than just a sport – it has been a lifesaving outlet, offering healing and resilience to men facing the daily realities of highstress work environments and conditions such as PTSD. The team has grown from its original footprint attracting some of the greatest anglers in South Africa from other industries into the team. Over the years, our dedication has elevated us into one of South Africa’s highest-ranked specimen angling teams, with international recognition. Lakes Specimen Angling proudly represented South Africa at the 2025 IBCC in Hungary and has once again won the SA IBCC Qualifiers and will be representing Team South Africa at The IBCC in Hungary April 2026.
