Help Our DJ Friend Rebuild After a Fire

In the early hours of last Friday morning (17.01.2025) a devastating fire swept through Special Quarters, Langa Township leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. Our dear friend, Makonwabe (AudioJerk) a talented DJ and a pillar of his community, lost his home and all of its contents in this tragic event. His neighbors were also affected, with multiple homes reduced to ashes.

AudioJerk is known as part of the renowned DJ duo STAB Virus and also performs individually as AudioJerk. He is an alumnus of the Bridges for Music School, where he has selflessly contributed to raising funds to support this incredible institution and empower young artists. Now, in the face of this unimaginable tragedy, he needs our support.

This fire has not only taken away his home but his documents and personal items, including clothing, bedding, and other belongings, were destroyed. Also the tools of his trade—equipment essential to his livelihood. Despite the circumstances, AudioJerk remains a beacon of hope and resilience, deeply rooted in his passion for music and community-building.
