Good day Family, Friends and supporters.
Mitch was a fun, loving and caring gentle little giant of a 6-year-old and a very proud brother to his sisters Mia and Gia and brother Eli. He loves music, dancing and very fast cars.
On the 25th of August 2024 Mitch begun experiencing silent fits and was rushed to N1 City Hospital in Cape Town South Africa. On that day, from around about 4pm Mitch started convulsing and having severe seizures and the nightmare began.
The doctors at N1 City hospital spent that Sunday night through to Tuesday morning trying to gain control of these super refractory seizures that were causing severe harm to Mitch’s brain.
On the 27th of August 2024 Mitch was moved to Christiaan Barnard Hospital in Cape Town and N1 City was not equipped to handle this type of cases. It was at CB Hospital where in September month Mitch was diagnosed with a rare disease called FIRES (febrile infection related epilepsy syndrome).
