💙 Help Paul Fight His Way Back to Life 💙
On 14 November, our world shattered in a single moment. My husband, Paul, was riding his motorcycle when a car made a sudden U-turn directly into his path. The impact was devastating — and nothing has been the same since.
Paul suffered catastrophic injuries and endured multiple major surgeries. Despite the tireless efforts of his doctors, there was only one way to save his life: the amputation of his left leg. Waking up to this new reality has been unimaginably painful for Paul and for our family.
We are thankful that Paul has now been discharged from hospital, but the hardest part of his journey is still ahead. He faces months — and possibly years — of medical care, wound management, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy. For now, Paul relies on a wheelchair. Every day is a battle as he learns how to navigate life again, holding onto hope that one day he will walk with crutches, and eventually with a prosthetic leg.
