Help Me Turn My Survival Story Into Someone Else's Hope

On 9 June 2025, I walked through the doors of a rehabilitation centre carrying far more than a suitcase.

I carried years of addiction, shame, broken relationships, fear, and the belief that my life was beyond repair.

For years, addiction had taken everything from me. It stole my peace, my purpose, my identity, and almost my life. There were moments when I genuinely believed the world would be better without me.

But something changed.

One day at a time, I chose recovery.

The journey wasn't easy. Recovery forced me to face the person I had become before I could discover the person I was meant to be. It meant rebuilding my life from the ground up, repairing relationships, finding my faith again, returning to music, and learning to live without the substances I once believed I couldn't survive without.

Today, I stand clean and sober, living proof that recovery is possible.

Throughout this journey, I wrote everything down.
