Help Ruby & Athena Fight for Their Lives

When Ruby and Athena first came to us, they were so small and fragile that every hour felt like a fight for survival. At just 13 weeks old, Ruby weighed 800g, and Athena only 393g - far below the healthy weight for kittens their age. Athena was more like a three-week-old than a three-month-old, weak and struggling to even stand.

Their start in life was harsh. These kittens weren’t “found in a field,” as we were told - it’s now clear they came from a backyard breeding situation. Unfortunately, unplanned breeding often leads to kittens suffering from serious health issues that could have been prevented.

Ruby and Athena are already showing incredible strength and courage, but their fight isn’t over. They urgently need echocardiograms and further testing to check for heart conditions like cardiomyopathy, a life-threatening disease common in Persian breeds. Early detection is critical - these tests could save their lives.
