For more than 20 years, SEED has worked alongside children, youth and communities across the Cape Flats, creating greener neighbourhoods, improving food security and opening doors to opportunity through environmental education and practical skills development.

Today, too many young South Africans are eager to work but have few opportunities to gain the experience, confidence and practical skills employers are looking for.

Through our Seeding Futures programme, young people receive hands-on training in permaculture, biodiversity and climate resilience while growing food, restoring community green spaces and developing the skills needed to thrive in South Africa's growing green economy.

Seeding Future's doesn't just grow skills. It also grows fresh, nutritious food that supports school kitchens and local feeding initiatives, strengthening food security in the communities where we work.
