🚀 Help Send Imaan to the World Stage
Big dreams sometimes start in small classrooms.
Imaan, a proud student of the Cape Academy of Mathematics, Science and Technology and Captain of ASTROVO robotics team, has just been named a Dean’s List Finalist in the FIRST Tech Challenge.
This award is one of the highest honours in robotics and here’s what makes it even more special:
✨ Only TWO learners in the whole of South Africa receive this award. Out of thousands of students nationwide, Imaan is one of them.
As a result, she has earned the opportunity to represent South Africa at the FIRST World Championship in Houston, Texas in April 2026... one of the biggest STEM events in the world.
From the Only Girl… to the Captain
When Imaan joined her robotics team, she was the only girl.
She didn’t quit.
She didn’t shrink.
She didn’t let it intimidate her.
Instead, she grew.
Today, she is the Team Captain... leading her team to national awards and recognitio...
