Help Send Four Young Readers to the World Kids' Literature Quiz Championships

Four exceptional Grade 7 girls from Wynberg Girls’ Junior School, a government school based in Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs, have earned an incredible opportunity.

Lucy, Emily, Kate, and Makaylah have been part of the school’s Literature Quiz team since Grade 5, spending the past three years reading widely, learning constantly, and challenging themselves through a shared love of books.

Their dedication and teamwork have now led to a remarkable achievement.

They have qualified to represent their school and South Africa at the World Kids Literature Quiz Championships in New Zealand in July 2026.

For these girls, this is far more than a competition. It is the chance to compete on an international stage, meet young readers from around the world, and experience the joy of learning beyond the classroom.
