Help Sesona Graduate

I’m Sesona Mdlokovana, I’m 24 years old and originally from Whittlesea, Eastern Cape. I currently reside in Cape Town. I completed my undergraduate degree in Politics and Governance at UCT in 2022 and have just completed my Honours in African Studies at UCT. Due to financial constraints, I am now unable to graduate in April 2025. I owe the institution R148,610. Despite my efforts to save money, it has not been enough to cover the fees owed to the University.

This graduation means a lot to me. I was not accepted for Honours in 2023. I appealed the rejection and I was still unsuccessful. I tried again this year and I was accepted. I worked extremely hard to prove myself, it was difficult as I was also juggling a 9-5. I had to write a thesis while also completing coursework, completing assignments and attending seminars. Despite this, I consistently achieved exceptional grades. I want to be able to pursue my education up to PhD level and this is impossible without paying these fees.
