Hi, my name is Siphosethu, and I am a third-year Physiotherapy student at the University of Cape Town. As I approach my final year in 2025, I am facing financial difficulties because NSFAS funding no longer fully covers my accommodation costs, jeopardizing my ability to register.

My family’s financial situation prevents me from taking out a student loan, making it challenging to secure private funding. My passion for physiotherapy stems from my personal experiences. Losing my grandmother to a stroke without access to proper physiotherapy rehabilitation ignited my desire to bring these essential services to underserved communities.

Despite these challenges, I remain dedicated to my studies, balancing volunteering at hospitals, tutoring, and maintaining good academic performance, all while striving to make a difference.
