Help Sweet Lume' Smile Again after Severe Facial Trauma:
Our bright, beautiful, and sweet nine-year-old girl, Lume’ Wheeler, from Amanzimtoti, had her life turned upside down during what was supposed to be a normal, fun day visiting a friend. Tragically, while playing, Lume’ was severely bitten in the face by a friend's dog.
The attack was sudden and devastating, leaving her with catastrophic facial trauma. The force of the bite took off most of her top lip, leaving it hanging precariously by just one corner. She required immediate emergency care to stabilize her, but the journey to rebuild her face is just beginning.
To give Lume' her smile back and ensure she can eat, speak, and live normally, she requires extensive specialist intervention. The total estimated costs for her immediate and long-term treatment are already at R250,000.00 at a proper, specialized medical care facility.
