Sponsorship Appeal for Tadiwa Toma
Tadiwa Toma, a 14-year-old learner, participated in the South African Olympiad last year where she wrote English Home Language for Grade 8 and achieved 3rd place in the local round.
Following this achievement, she received an email inviting her to compete in the National Round, which took place online on 14 March. At the time, Tadiwa had very limited experience using a computer, which made preparation challenging. Despite this, she worked extremely hard to prepare for the competition.
Her determination paid off.
On 22 March, we received the wonderful news that Tadiwa Toma was the Top Achiever (1st Place) in her grade nationally, earning a Diamond Certificate for her outstanding performance.
Because of this achievement, Tadiwa has now been selected to represent South Africa in the Asiarope Olympiad, which will take place in Bangkok, Thailand in September.
This is an incredible opportunity for a young African learner to represent her country on an international stage.
