Help the Lesedi Choir to perform in Cape Town!

I first met Zoliswa and her choir 30 minutes before their performance during the regionals of the National ATKV Applous Choir Competition. They didn't have a pianist to accompany their music during their performance and I helped out at no 99. The choir immediately stole my heart. The kids are all between ages 9 and 13 and learners of the Lesedi Primary School in Shoshanguve, a township North of Pretoria. It is a huge choir with a 100 choir members. Their conductor is an amazing lady who has a real passion for the children and choral singing.

During the regionals they achieved a gold award and very good comments from all the judges. They performed mostly in Afrikaans and took part in the category non-Afrikaans speaking Choirs. Last week they got the wonderful news that the choir proceeded to the National Finals which will take part end July in Cape Town. The choir is 1 of only 3 choirs throughout South Africa as well as Namibia who made it to the finals in their category.
