At the age of 37, Lauren Oosthuizen received the shocking diagnosis of liver cancer. Initially admitted for a gallbladder issue, her family rushed her to a private hospital without medical aid, hoping to provide her with the best care. Lauren is a devoted mother to a beautiful 9-year-old daughter and a loving wife to Dimar Oosthuizen.
The initial suspicion was gallstones, but further scans and a CT scan revealed cancer in her liver. Unfortunately, the necessary surgery couldn't be performed in Port Elizabeth. Lauren and her family had to travel to Cape Town for more scans and, hopefully, a successful operation that might cure her cancer. According to the surgeon at Greenacres Hospital, if the surgery succeeded, Lauren would need regular check-ups. We are grateful for the support and prayers as we hope to defeat cancer together.

Sadly, the surgery did not take place as planned. The surgeons at Groote Schuur Hospital repeatedly postponed it, deeming it a non-urgent matter. After three weeks, another...
