Zulfeeq is a 13-year-old boy who has always been full of life, love and big dreams. He is a caring, loving and sharing child who has touched the lives of so many people in the most positive way. Rugby is his passion. He dreamed of one day becoming a professional rugby player and representing South Africa as a Springbok. He loves being outdoors, absolutely adores his food, and was happiest when he was active, surrounded by his family, friends and the sport he loved.

On 15 June 2026, our lives changed forever. Zulfeeq arrived at the rugby field before practice, just as he had done so many times before. Before he could even begin training, he suddenly collapsed on the field. He suffered a severe brain injury as a result of the medical emergency, and his life was changed in an instant.

Zulfeeq has since been diagnosed with severe brain injury and dystonia. Today, our once-active 13-year-old is unable to walk, talk or swallow on his own and depends on others for his daily care and basic needs. From running around a rugby field and dreami...
