Last night, we almost lost everything that matters most.

On the way to visit family, a speeding car ran a red robot and slammed into us at full speed. His car was crushed. Our Haval took the impact and it's the only reason we're here to tell this story.

Opening the door and seeing Willow-Lee upside down in her car seat, hearing Eli-Mayson and Cairo screaming... that's a moment I'll never forget.

We were all taken to hospital and thank God, cleared. The other driver was injured too and we're praying for his recovery.

Grateful his life was spared, just like ours.

Today, the shock is settling into a harder reality: our charity is now without a working vehicle.

We'd already cancelled our insurance just to stay afloat. Our taxi has been off the road for months with engine trouble.

Now our one reliable car, the Haval, is badly damaged too.

We urgently need to fix the taxi's engine and we're trying to raise close to R40,000 to do it.
