My name is Memory Mpofu. I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for your help and assistance.
My brother Shepard Mpofu, 24 years of age, is facing a challenging and urgent situation that has left us in a difficult financial and emotional predicament.
In December 2023, due to an undiagnosed mental illness - he was involved in an incident which lead to him being severely injured and with a broken leg. At the time, doctors attended to his mental state first - due to it's severity - as he needed to be stabilised first.
My brother has made good progress in his recovery and is stable now - yet due to not being mobile, he is unable to work .
We have since been back to the same hospital for the surgery, which can only take place if we raise the amount of: R24,625 as quoted. Shephard risks losing his leg if we are unable to come up with the amount needed.
