Help Meraai, Nafisa and others get to the March to Gaza!
In mid-June, a delegation of a South Africans will join over a thousand people (activists, doctors, teachers, etc) from all over the world in Cairo, Egypt. From there they will board a bus to the Sinai desert and begin a 2 day march to the Rafah border with Gaza, arriving on 15 June. This is a peaceful march in response to a call from Palestinian organisations. The goal is to raise awareness and pressure Israel to end the blockade and stop the genocide.
But each participant must pay their own way. There is no NGO covering people’s costs. Many hopeful participants from South Africa do not have money to cover the cost of the flight, about 13-15,000 Rands. This is an urgent crowdfunding campaign to help get people to the march.
We have many people who need financial support to attend.
- If we raise R15k, we can send one person.
- If we raise R30k, we can send two people.
- If we raise R45k, we can send three people.
- And so on.
