Sometimes, all a parent wants is the chance to give their child the best possible start in life.
Hello friends, family, and kind strangers.
We never imagined that at just 4 months old, we would be asking others for help for our beautiful baby girl, Emily Skye.
Emily is our first baby — our little miracle, our greatest blessing and quite simply, our whole world. ❤️ Her smile can brighten even the hardest day, and we would do anything to make sure she is happy, healthy and gets the care she needs.
From when Emily was very young, we noticed a flat area developing at the back of her head. Like any parents, we hoped it would correct itself as she grew.
We did everything we could at home, including tummy time, exercises and side-lying, hoping her head shape would improve.
Sadly, it hasn't.
After seeing her pediatrician, we were told that Emily has Brachycephaly, a condition where the back of a baby's head becomes flattened and the head may become wider in shape.
We were advised that Emily may need a cranial remoulding helmet.
