Help Us Rebuild After Losing Everything In A Fire

My name is Nokubonga Malambe, and I am a recent LLB graduate from the University of Johannesburg. I grew up in Ivory Park Ext 2, a disadvantaged township where opportunities are scarce and challenges are abundant. I am the eldest of three children and was raised by my resilient single mother, who bakes fat cakes to support our family of four, including my two younger siblings.

Despite my hard work and determination, I find myself unemployed and job hunting in a competitive market. On October 1, 2024, our lives took a devastating turn. A gas leak in our shack led to a fire that consumed everything we owned. We lost our home, our belongings, and the little security we had.

Now, we are starting from scratch, living in a small, makeshift shelter. My family consists of my mother, my 10-year-old sister, and my brother. We are in urgent need of assistance.
