Every senior dog deserves to spend their final years surrounded by comfort, safety, and love.

Sadly, across South Africa, countless older dogs find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. Their owners may have passed away, moved into old age homes, emigrated, lost their homes, or simply abandoned them because they were no longer young.

At Silver Paws Senior Dog Sanctuary, we believe that growing old should never be a death sentence.

Since 2018, Silver Paws has been providing a kennel-free sanctuary where senior dogs can live out their lives with dignity and love.

Our residents aren't kept in kennels or cages. They live as part of a family, sleeping in comfortable beds, lounging in sunny gardens, enjoying home-cooked meals, receiving veterinary care, and most importantly, knowing they are loved every single day.

Many arrive frightened, confused, grieving, or neglected. Some have medical conditions. Some have no teeth left. Some have only days or weeks remaining. Yet...
