Hi! Welcome to our Campaign. 

Wikus is a 14 year old, who was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when he was born. We had no idea what the disease was at the time. A little information on the condition :

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disorder that affects the respiratory and digestive systems. It causes the production of thick, sticky mucus that clogs airways and leads to respiratory infections and lung damage. It also impairs the function of the pancreas, affecting nutrient absorption. CF is inherited in an autosomal recessive pattern, meaning a person must receive two copies of the defective gene—one from each parent—to develop the condition.

Wikus went for his first operation when he was just 9hours old on his bowel which got blocked due to the sticky meconium. He had an operation again 16 days later to reconnect the bowel. In 2015 his liver started to deteriorate and he was placed on medication. In 2017 he had to undergo a Liver Transplant since his was not working anymore.
