Hi, my name is Yuri Ray. I am 46 years old. I am a husband, a dad and a soon to be former Police Sergeant at Diep River Police Station

I am Living With ALS - Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and FTD - Frontotemporal Dementia 

In November last year, I noticed I had pins and needles in my left pinkie finger. 

Here I sit today, I can no longer walk or perform normal daily functions unassisted, my speech is slower than ever, my short term memory is shot, I have fallen and hit my head more times than I can remember.

I am scared, I am frustrated, I am angry, I am confused, but I am choosing to Live each and every day to the fullest. To Cherish Every Moment. I still have things I want to do and I am determined to do them. I am not done yet. I have an incredible support system, family, friends and community for which I am extremely grateful and blessed. 

We cannot do this alone. We need your help, please. ALS is an extremely expensive disease that my medical aid does not cover as a pmb!
