Our son, Zack, has been chosen to represent our country on the international stage for the SA Men's U18 Water Polo team for this year’s World Aquatics Water Polo World Championship tournament that takes place in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Zack has dreamed of playing for the U18 SA Men's side ever since he started water polo at the age of 9.
An avid swimmer, Zack was introduced to water polo at school and hasn’t stopped playing for his school, his province and South Africa in U13 and U16. Water polo, in South Africa, is not a mainstream sport so tours, competitions and tournaments have been self-funded.
We would love your help in allowing Zack this opportunity to play in Argentina from 2 - 8 July 2024. Current information is that the estimated cost of the tournament is R81 000. This excludes training camps, which will happen across South Africa in preparation for the tournament. Any contribution will be appreciated and will assist in ensuring his dream is realized.
