My name is Bronwyn Rodrigues. I am the CEO and founder of ZAP HUB.
I created ZAP HUB to be the safe haven for South Africans that I desperately needed myself.
After 2.5 years back in South Africa, I saw the same nightmare repeat itself: consumers being lied to, ripped off, and left with no recourse. From property deals gone wrong to dodgy nail techs, unlicensed home inspectors, and gyms that vanish with your money – no one was protecting us.
So, I built a platform for every industry – licensed agents, conveyancers, home inspectors, bond originators, auctioneers, nail techs, gyms from A-Z. A place where businesses must care about consumer protection and where South Africans can finally find verified, licensed professionals.
But today, that dream is being destroyed by the very regulator meant to protect us.
What We Faced – And Why We Took the Regulator to Court
On 9 June, ZAP HUB filed an urgent application in the Johannesburg High Court against the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA).
