Leonard is a young man originally from Zimbabwe but currently living in Nomzamo township near Helderberg in the Western Cape with his wife and two young children. 

A year ago this June, Leonard lost both his arms in a bus accident and with that, his independence too. With no arms, this young husband and father, depends on others for EVERYTHING!

Zimele is a nonprofit company that provides comprehensive prosthetic rehabilitation to disadvantaged amputees. Zimele means independence in Xhosa; that is exactly what we want to help Leonard regain - his independence!

We need your support for Zimele to help Leonard regain as much independence as possible. Comprehensive prosthetic rehabilitation is not a cheap process, but it is vitally important. It’s a process that requires a team approach. So please become part of the team by donating to Leonard’s rehabilitation journey back to independence!
