Hi, I’m Tessa.
I live in a little town called Howick, in KwaZulu-Natal, surrounded by the rolling hills and heart of the Midlands. I’ve always believed in the power of community, and recently, having visited the infamous Howick Falls, I found a special spot where potential is realized and woman and children in the community find hope.

She’s the heart behind African Spirit NGO, an initiative that’s brought light, dignity, and hope to women and youth in Howick. Judy has quietly and consistently poured her time, her pension, and her passion into helping others rise. Through training in traditional crafts like beadwork, crochet, embroidery, sewing, and textile design, she’s created a space where women can find their inner creative and earn an income to support their families.
