Good day all,
My name is Henna du Plessis and I have been invited by the National Rifle League in the USA to attend their Championship match to be held in North Carolina in July this year. This invitation was sent after I won the South African National Rifle League's .22 Championship match and with it the inaugural NRL22 league.
This is truly an opportunity of a lifetime as, to my understanding, I am the first South African to qualify to attend the NRL22 Championships in the USA in this division. This invitation was sent on very short notice as the South African event was held on the 1st and 2nd of April this year. I have only 3 months to gather the necessary funds to go and participate in this prestigious event.
I have estimated the basic cost to attend the match to be around R80 000, which makes up flights, accommodation, visa costs, and travel. This excludes the cost of ammunition, rifle export permits, essential gear for the competition, and training expenses. The true cost of the whole...
