3 Months ago, Desmond vd Merwe (age 58) son passed away in a tragic motor vehicle accident (see Middelburg Observer Newspaper, 26 July 2024). Today he was in a motorbike accident, a lady (unknown) skipped a stop street and bumped him of his bike. He landed underneath a truck. He now urgently need a hip replacement.
Due to low monthly income they do not have a medical aid as his son was the main breadwinner and supported him and his wife financially.
