Hello, my name is Chris Wait, and I’m the creator behind Free Wild World, a travel and adventure vlog dedicated to exploring hidden corners of Africa and documenting the people, places, and stories that make them unique.
For the past 10 years I’ve been vlogging and telling stories with limited resources — often hitchhiking, using public transport, and sleeping wherever I can — all in pursuit of authentic, ground-level storytelling. But without my own transport, I’m constantly limited in where I can go and how much I can capture.
Now, I have the opportunity to change that. I’ve found a suitable and affordable van that I can convert into a mobile home and production studio — allowing me to live on the road full-time, reach remote communities, and keep creating inspiring travel documentaries without boundaries.
