HOPE FOR HARVEY
A trio of Jack Russells were surrendered into the care of PAWS R US (SA) on 3 March 2026 - Harvey, Dex, and Bella. In the blink of an eye, they went from a golden, happy life frolicking in their favourite pool and garden, to sitting in a kennel at our site. We've been determined to find them a home together, despite the odds. In the last 2 weeks, Harvey has shown signs of discomfort and pain, and following a visit to the vet, has been diagnosed with suspected IVDD - Intervertebral Disc Disease. He is an 8 year old boy with the happiest soul, and we want to help him. He does not deserve this too, shortly after becoming an orphan. We need to take action in the following way - a) make an appointment to see a specialist vet, b) get an MRI done, and (depending on the outcome and feedback), raise funds for c) back surgery.
The estimated cost is as follows:
- MRI and specialist consult: approx R10 000
