Hope for Sonja

My name is Sonja “Maltrap” as some of my close friends will call me..

I am a single mother of two awesome children, Son 15 years and Daughter 8 years.

On 1 March I found a lump in my right breast.  Only with that sentence alone, my whole world has changed as I know it. Not only for me, but for my children as well.

From the day I have found the lump up until today the 26 of April 2024, the road has been hard and long.  Full of tears, full of the unknown, full of emotions that I have not even start to process.  The word Breast Cancer Stage +3 which I have been diagnosed with in the beginning of April is so unreal to me. 

Yes, the facts are there, the confirmation are there.  The plan is laid out, preparation is in place. The treatments are planned to start the fight. 

Am I ready?  Yes I am ready to fight.  The Gloves are on.  But only because I want to see my children finish school.  I want to hold my first grandchild. I want to finish my road healthy at an old age.
