Hope from Ashes: The Glo Project Fire Fund

Since 2018, The Glo Project has provided hope and support to the communities in the Deep South of the Western Cape and beyond.  Their farm project offers employment, skills development and entrepreneurship opportunities in communities who need it most, and their school/ holiday care program supports learners from these communities with much-needed educational programs. 

On Monday 17th August, a fire destroyed the organisation’s main living area, bathrooms, pantry and kitchen, a place that was once a safe space for the organisation’s family and children in their foster care. Without insurance, the family is facing extensive costs to repair and rebuild their space. 
It’s time that they receive the same help and support from the community that they have poured into the Western Cape for years.
