I am 49 years old and has been teaching for 27 years. But 2 years ago I started having seizures, not very bad at the beginning but this last year the seizures have become more and more, at time twice a week and more severe. I had two seizures behind the steering wheel but by the grace of God I did not injure myself or other people. Therefore, I am not allowed to drive anymore. At first, I could feel the seizures coming on by certain symptoms before seizures but now it happens without any warning signals. My doctor, counselor, family and friends all suggested me having a service dog. This special dog will be my companion and friend. It will help a lot when I wake up from a seizure and I am not alone. My golden retriever, Hope, is currently 3 months. I do not have medical aid, no job and I pay all my medical bills privately. I am in desperate need of some financial support or assistance with the training of my special service dog.
