Turning Waste into Hope in Cape Town

Hi, my name is Jarrod Thomas, and I am the founder of Hopecycle Cape Town, a registered non-profit company.

Our mission is to empower homeless individuals through recycling, giving them dignity, structure, and income while making our communities cleaner and greener.

Right now, we are piloting our program with one collector, providing them with a daily stipend of R100 to collect recyclables. It may seem small, but it’s a step towards transformation — food security, stability, and self-worth.

But we want to do more. With your support, we can:

✅ Provide stipends for 3 homeless collectors for 6 months.

✅ Equip them with DIY trolleys, gloves, boots, and safety gear.

✅ Cover small running costs like storage bags, weighing scales, and community outreach.

✅ Take the first steps toward building a future depot and reintegration center.
