Help Us Keep the Hout Bay Seal Rescue Centre Running
Because every seal deserves a second chance

At the Hout Bay Seal Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre (HBSRC), we’ve created a sanctuary for injured, orphaned, and entangled Cape fur seals — a place where they can heal, grow stronger, and be released back into their ocean home. 

We are the only Seal Rehabilitation Centre in the entire Western Cape.

🚨 We  need a newer rescue vehicle
Our trusted old Bantam bakkie has reached the end of its serviceable life and can no longer be relied upon, although it remains roadworthy. Without a reliable vehicle, we simply can’t respond to rescue calls, transport injured seals, or collect supplies. We’re appealing for help to purchase a new or demo vehicle, tough enough to handle coastal terrain and equipped for animal transport.
