Mr. Iaan Rheeder serves as the Senior Caretaker at Gonubie Primary School, overseeing the dedicated team responsible for maintaining the school's cleanliness and ensuring the buildings and classrooms are in excellent condition.
This year, his daughter, Ihandri Rheeder, joined Gonubie Primary as a Grade 2 educator after successfully completing her internship with our Grade 3 team while pursuing her studies.
Recently, Iaan's wife and Ihandri's mother received a devastating diagnosis: advanced cancer. The associated medical expenses have escalated to an extent that is financially overwhelming and unsustainable for their family. Despite facing this tremendous challenge, the Rheeder family has always been known for their kindness and generosity, consistently going out of their way to assist others.
In this time of dire need, Gonubie Primary School is reaching out to our extended school community, including current and former members, as well as friends of the family.
