Invest in Kayla’s CA(SA) Dream

My name is Kayla Barkhuizen, and at 24 years old, I am a full-time trainee accountant working hard to build a secure future in the financial world. Reaching this point has required immense grit, but I have now hit a turning point in my career where I need to ask for a helping hand to cross the next finish line. My ultimate dream is to become a Chartered Accountant, CA(SA), combining strong financial expertise with strategic business leadership.

Growing up in a household raised entirely by a resilient single mother, financial hurdles were a constant reality for us. My mom sacrificed everything she had to get me through school, and thanks to her unwavering love alongside the support of a NSFAS bursary, I successfully completed my BCom Accounting degree. Today, I am proud to be working full-time, gaining vital experience in the corporate world. My mom got me to this incredible starting line, but she simply does not have the financial means to fund my postgraduate professional studies.
