Around 3pm on Tuesday afternoon (24 Feb) the call went out as a fire had started in Imizamo Yethu, Hout Bay.
While fire and rescue where on scene as soon as they could be, the fire blazed for hours and had left hundreds of people with nothing more than the clothes in their back.
Thula Thula Hout Bay is an NGO that provides basic relief items such as toiletries, baby care items, blankets, groceries to those affected by these devastating events.
