We ride to improve fitness, push ourselves to achieve our own goals, foster team spirit, and experience the buzz along this awe-inspiring route.   …but most importantly our colony of bees has a very special mission and that is to raise funds and awareness for children fighting cancer.

Rainbows and Smiles is not funded by the government, and we rely on the generosity of our supporters and the passion of our volunteers to enable us to do the work we do.  

Each year in South Africa alone, almost 1000 children are diagnosed with cancer.  With our socio-economic challenges and sadly the poor level of awareness of early warning signs of childhood cancer, it means that many children are diagnosed very late into their illness and as a result, they face many difficult battles.
